Shopping List
- 500g minced Lamb, Pork or Beef or any meat of your choice
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- Chopped coriander (optional)
- 4-6 Burger Buns
Instant Indian in 3 Easy Steps
Mix it! Use your hands to bind the meat and Spice Mix in a large bowl. Divide and shape the mixture into 4-6 chunky patties and ideally leave to chill for 30 mins.
Cook It! Heat oil in a large griddle or frying pan. Cook patties for 10-12 minutes flipping couple of times, until golden on both sides and cooked well all the way through. Alternatively, grill or barbecue the burgers for 12-15 minutes under medium heat turning regularly.
Serve It! While the burgers are cooking, butter the buns and lightly toast under the grill. Spread a coriander or mint chutney of your choice on each side before slipping in the Indi-Burger with a slice of onion, tomato and cheese. Serve with cucumber raita and a side of chips.
Top Tip – make a quick Cucumber Raita
Mix 100g plain yoghurt with a quarter of a peeled and grated cucumber. Stir in ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon cumin and a handful of finely chopped coriander.
